Little can compare to the beautiful unbroken views over the vineyards and countryside offered from the doorsteps of Château Saint-Guiraud.  This elegant and peaceful 19th century property used to be part of a broader wine estate and is conveniently located in a quiet, picturesque village close to Clermont l’Hérault at the heart of Languedoc, just 30 minutes away from Montpellier. The property which can easily host 12 people comprises a large swimming pool surrounded by a pleasant garden where to enjoy glorious summer days.
Château Saint-Guiraud boasts cosy and comfortable interiors which bear the hallmark of grand countryside interiors typical of the mid-19th century and offering ample living space: the entrance hall contains walls with period paintings, all floors still retain their original colourful cement tiles  or typical period reddish tommettes. Interiors are elegantly furnished with period furniture [with patina] which immediately conveys a harmonious feeling, all fittings and details blending positively together.
Past the entrance hall, a broad corridor is spanning the entire ground floor, then parting various salons en enfilade  such as the game room/bar, a TV salon, a large sitting room with a grand period fireplace, all on one side, then on the other side, the spacious dining room leading to the kitchen, and a double bedroom with its bathroom on the other side of the corridor.  The well-appointed kitchen is of modern design having been recently redone.  Landing on the first floor off the grand staircase, one reaches 3 bedrooms, two of which are double and one twin, as well as a large independent bathroom catering to these bedrooms.  On the second floor sit 3 further bedrooms (1 twin and 2 double) as well as a bathroom.
The property offers a unique pad for large parties to discover the great cultural variety of Languedoc; though you could spend weeks simply relaxing at the house or sunbathing by the pool, the area around the estate makes for excellent day trips. Take a refreshing dive in Lac du Salagou or take a walk to explore the unusual limestone rocks naturally carved at the Cirque de Mourèze, just about 10 kilometres away, see one of Languedoc’s most beautiful villages of Saint-Guilhem le Désert or Pézenas, less than 20 kilometres away, or simply drive for half-an-hour to spend time in medieval Montpellier or the nearest beaches of Sète.
